ZÉ CRUZ QUINTETO (SeixalJazz 2024)

Zé Cruz Quinteto will be performing at the SeixalJazz Festival, bringing a vibrant blend of jazz influences to the stage. Led by guitarist Zé Cruz, the quintet includes accomplished musicians: Nelson Cascais on double bass, André Sousa Machado on drums, José Soares on alto saxophone, and Miguel Meirinhos on piano. Zé Cruz began his musical journey at just nine years old, transitioning from rock and punk to jazz through formal education at the Escola de Jazz Luiz Villas Boas and the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.

In 2024, the quintet will showcase their innovative sounds, featuring music from their new album, Kandar – Tales beyond a Cellar Door. This performance promises to be a highlight of the festival, showcasing the quintet’s dynamic artistry and musical versatility​
